Formula One team Jordan expressed condolences Tuesday to the family of a track worker killed in an accident involving both the team’s cars during the Italian Grand Prix on Sunday.

Paolo Ghislimberti, a 33-year-old fire marshall at the Monza circuit, died shortly after being struck by debris from a six-car pile up on the first lap of the race.

Both Jordans were heavily damaged in the crash, and Italian investigators believe a wheel from the car of German Heinz-Harald Frentzen struck the marshall.
