Six-year-old golfer shoots hole-in-one

Some golfers wait a lifetime for a hole-in-one. Not Thomas James — he can brag about it over cookies and milk. The 6-year-old boy used a 3-wood on the 57-meter (63-yard) No. 6 hole for his ace Saturday while playing with sister Marti, 12. His mother, Marie, was accompanying the two on the par-3 course. “It was too cool,” Marie James said. “My daughter and I looked at each other and wondered, ‘where did the ball go?’ It didn’t even bounce. It was a big moment for a 6-year-old. It was awesome.” It was third time the boy from Grand Blanc was playing. He carded a 43 on the par-27 course. King Par manager Cliff Hobson said it was the first ace at the course in at least 10 years. “It was pretty phenomenal,” Hobson told The Flint Journal. “I don’t think little Tommy realized what he did.”
