Tennis greats Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf are expected to marry in January 2002 in Agassi’s hometown of Las Vegas, according to a story posted on Sunday on the Web site of Germany’s Bild newspaper. Agassi, 31, and Graf, 32, will not marry before the birth of their baby in mid-December, the newspaper reported, citing the same “reliable sources” behind what it described as its earlier exclusive about Graf’s pregnancy. The delay in the Graf-Agassi marriage stems in part from complications surrounding the preparation of a prenuptial agreement, the newspaper said.
On Friday, a publicist for Agassi said it was unclear whether the world’s third-ranked men’s tennis player and the former top-ranked women’s player — until she retired in 1999 — would marry. Agassi Enterprises spokeswoman Shelly Ryan confirmed that Graf was expecting Agassi’s child.
