5 millionth tourist for 2010 arrives from Japan

The five millionth lucky tourist to Taiwan entered the nation last night, revealing herself as a Japanese national from Tokyo who won the prize of a credit card, with a NT$5 million limit, among other gifts, the Tourism Bureau announced yesterday. Japanese Tourist Mitsu Kimura, 31, arrived to the island at 7:40 p.m. last night on China Airlines flight CI101 from Tokyo. She plans to stay for four days.

The Executive Yuan will be holding a welcoming ceremony for Kimura today. Aside from a credit card with a NT$5 million limit, only usable in Taiwan, Kimura received tea, pineapple cakes and a packaged MRT deal for convenient transportation from the Taipei Rapid Transit Corporation.
