The Orphanage Club of the Taipei American School (TAS) will hold a charity book sale on Saturday, March 12, according to the TAS press release. Books in various genres such as self-improvement, cooking, child care, teaching English, history, philosophy, and religion are all included in the selling list. Series such as “The Babysitters,” popular books such as “Harry Potter,” Pulitzer Prize, Booker Prize and Nobel Prize winning titles, and specific titles on Taiwan, China and Asia will also be for sale. Thousands of adult fiction titles will also be available, the organizers said.
A great collection of magazines including “National Geographic,” “Time,” “Newsweek,” “Reader’s Digest” as well as other Chinese magazines can also be found. The annual book sale is known as one of the largest book sales in Taiwan, and prices are very low and reasonable, the TAS said.
The sale will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and admission is free. All the proceeds will support TAS Orphanage Club projects assisting orphans and needy children in Taiwan, the TAS said.
