TAIPEI–Taiwan is likely to see showers in several areas on Double Ten National Day as moisture east of the island moves in, the Central Weather Bureau (CWB) said yesterday.
According to the CWB forecast, intermittent rain showers are likely in northern and eastern Taiwan, while cloudy weather is expected in other areas.
However, as seasonal winds from the northeast weaken later in the week, temperatures are likely to be mild on the Oct. 10 holiday, said forecaster Chiang Li-hung.
In northern and eastern Taiwan, temperatures are expected to range from 24 degrees to 29 degrees Celsius, while the mercury could rise to 32 degrees in central and southern Taiwan, he said.
Meanwhile, rainfall is likely on Taiwan’s outlying islands during the holiday, with temperatures ranging from 19 to 29 degrees, he said.
