Hong Kong escapes recession with only 0.1% economic growth in Q3


HONG KONG — Hong Kong’s economy grew 0.1 percent in the third quarter, narrowly avoiding recession after a revised 0.4 percent contraction in the previous three months, official figures showed Friday.

Year-on-year the economy grew 4.3 percent in the third quarter compared to a revised 5.3 percent in the second, the government said.
