TAIPEI — Taiwan’s smart phone maker HTC Corp. yesterday hailed a final victory in an imaging patent dispute with FlashPoint Technology Inc. as a confirmation of its respect for patented innovations.
The world’s No. 4 smart phone maker made the remarks after the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) ruled on Tuesday that HTC Corp. had not violated patents claimed by U.S. digital imaging company FlashPoint Technology Inc.
“The Commission’s determination validates our position that we respect protected innovations. We look forward to returning to doing what we do best: creating innovative mobile experiences and providing choice to consumers,” said Grace Lei, general counsel of HTC, in an e-mailed statement.
