Restructuring of CPA to take effect from Monday

TAIPEI–The restructuring of the Cabinet-level Central Personnel Administration (CPA) will take effect Monday, as part of a broader effort to streamline government agencies.

The CPA will be renamed the Directorate General of Personnel, and incumbent CPA Minister Wu Tai-cheng will be retained as its head. However, Wu’s title will be changed to director-general.

In the restructuring of the CPA, two of its agencies, the Civil Service Housing and Welfare Committee and the Regional Personnel Administration Office, will be discarded.
