Baidu launches real-time search service for microblog

BEIJING — Baidu.Com Inc. has quoted online its real time search service to demonstrate such microblog contents as are related to a user’s search key words on Thursday night, reported on Friday. As the move marked the first alliance between China’s largest search engine and the most eminent microblog operator, some most valuable IT products and service are likely to be created in future, evidently favorable to both sides, said Hu Yanping, founder of DCCI, a well-known Chinese IT data base.

Currently, Baidu is the largest Chinese language search engine by market share in China, with its daily netizens’ search inquiries surpassing several billion, while Sina Corp.’s microblog boasts overall 300 million registered users and an over-100 million averaged blog article number each day.
