Chinese governors to lead delegations in May, June

TAIPEI–The governor of China’s Hubei Province, Wang Guosheng, said during a media lunch in the province Wednesday that he will lead a delegation to Taiwan in early May.

The lunch was organized to host Chiang Pin-kung, chairman of the Taipei-based Straits Exchange Foundation, who is currently leading a media delegation on visits to Hubei and Hunan provinces in central China.

Wang said he will also organize a “Hubei week” in Taiwan.

Chiang and the delegation had also visited Hunan province, where Provincial Governor Xu Shousheng told the press that he will lead a group that will visit Taiwan in June.
