WASHINGTON — Taiwanese pitcher Chien-Ming Wang, who received a no-decision in his latest rehab game Saturday, will probably head to the Washington Nationals’ bullpen as a reliever after coming off the disabled list, according to team manager Davey Johnson.

“I don’t look at him as a reliever. I look at him as a quality major league starter,” Johnson was quoted as saying in the Washington Post.

Johnson said Wang will be put on a starting pitcher’s rotation, along with the team’s five starters, but as a long reliever out of the bullpen, to avoid problems for the 32-year-old right-hander’s arm.
