Largest floating book fair to make port in Taiwan

TAIPEI–The Germany-registered passenger ship Logos Hope of the nonprofit German charity Good Books for All (GBA) Ships will hold a book fair at Keelung Port in northern Taiwan from Jan. 7-20.

A preparatory group for GBA Ships, which since the 1970s has toured the world to “bring knowledge, hope and help” to people and provide books to the public at low prices, said the ship-board fair will be open every day except Monday during the period, with more than 400 crew members from around the world on hand to provide cultural exchanges with the visitors.

Logos Hope is the latest addition to GBA Ships and is twice the size of MV Doulos, a similar type of floating bookstore that has visited Taiwan several times, it said.
