TAIPEI, Taiwan — HP formally introduced the fastest printers in the world — HP Office Pro X inject printers — as the IT giant celebrated its 25th anniversary yesterday.

Equipped with HP PageWide Technology, the printer can deliver an amazing speed of up to 70 pages per minute, a new record according to Guinness World Records and a milestone in printing technology. Customers, especially businesses of all sizes, can take full advantage of this technology, which is twice as fast as most color laser printers and uses 50-percent less energy.

In addition to PageWide, the HP Office Pro X series also delivers other impressive features, including multilanguage support, printing activity management and data security monitoring.

Other innovative functions include digital file transfers, HP Color Access Control & HP Web Jetmin and HP ePrint. Digital file transfers allow the user to send scanned files to PCs, email inboxes, Web folders, card readers and USBs.

With the support of This HP Color Access Control & HP Web Jetmin, which was previously available for HP enterprise-class printers only, HP Office Pro X printers can now conduct remote management and monitoring of office printing activities. HP ePrint allows users to send files to printers by sending an email through devices such as smartphones.

HP also allows customers to use the printer without leasing expenses; the client will be charged the printing cost only.

“According to our market observations, the demand for color printing from businesses has been increasing and work efficiency and cost saving are more and more important to corporate users (when it comes to a purchasing decision),” said King Chen, senior vice president of Printing and Personal Systems Group, HP Taiwan. Customers interested in HP Office Pro X can contact HP Taiwan for trial use between March 20 and April 3.
