TAIPEI — The moderate weather in Taiwan over the weekend will give way to rain until Wednesday due to increasing moisture brought by a cold front, the Central Weather Bureau said Monday.
The wet weather will prevail particularly in Northern, Central and Eastern Taiwan, as well as in mountainous areas in the south, the bureau said.
Not much fluctuation in temperatures is expected, however, as the mercury expected to remain at the current levels.
Throughout Tuesday, temperatures could hover between 19 and 26 degrees in Northern Taiwan, 20 and 27 degrees in Central Taiwan, and 22 and 27 degrees Celsius in Southern Taiwan, forecasters said.
The weather is expected to improve starting Wednesday, with cloudy to sunny skies likely around the island, according to the bureau.
