TAIPEI — Residents in Northern Taiwan will see the mercury rise again this week as seasonal winds weaken, the Central Weather Bureau said.
Compared with Monday, daytime highs could increase by about 5 degrees Celsius to 27 degrees in the region, while other parts of the country are expected to see temperatures remain at the same level as a day earlier, according to forecasters.
On Tuesday, temperatures hovered from 19 to 27 degrees in Northern Taiwan, 20 to 29 degrees in Central Taiwan, and 23 to 28 degrees in Southern Taiwan, the bureau said.
Cloudy to sunny skies are likely across the country except for eastern Taiwan, where sporadic showers are expected, it said.
The generally steady weather should continue into the weekend, according to the bureau.
