TAIPEI, Taiwan — The Ministry of Education (MOE) recently invited the Austrian Association of Universities of Applied Sciences (UAS) Secretary-General Kurt Koleznik to Taiwan for a visit and exchanged opinions on educational issues.
MOE Department of International and Cross-Strait Education chief Yang Ming-ling (楊敏玲) said the purpose of Koleznik’s visit is to promote the cultural and educational exchanges between Taiwanese students and Austrian students by signing a memorandum with several universities of Taiwan.
Yang said the UAS offers young adults in Austria a practically oriented education and assists them to prepare for their future careers. The UAS offers graduate and postgraduate classes in the fields of economics, engineering, health sciences, social sciences, arts and design, military sciences and natural sciences, Yang said.
