TAIPEI — The current mild in Taiwan is likely to last until next Tuesday as the seasonal winds weaken and moisture decreases, the Central Weather Bureau (CWB) said Friday.
Sunny skies with some clouds will remain throughout most of the island, with sporadic showers in eastern Taiwan and mountainous areas in northern Taiwan over the next few days, forecasters said.
Daytime temperatures of 25 to 28 degrees Celsius can be expected in northern Taiwan, and 29-30 degrees in southern Taiwan, while nighttime lows will be around 17-20 degrees across the country, the CWB said.
It warned, however, that the difference in nighttime and daytime temperatures in central Taiwan may be as much as 9 degrees.
After Tuesday, the weather is expected to start cooling off islandwide and rain will be likely in northern and eastern parts of the country, the bureau said.
