TAIPEI–Taiwan will send a delegation to an upcoming Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) meeting to be held in the Philippines, the APEC host country for 2015, an official said Thursday.
The Informal Senior Officials’ Meeting (ISOM) is slated for Dec. 8-9 in Manila as a prelude to next year’s APEC meetings, said Tom Chou, director-general of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Department of International Organizations.
I will lead the team that is attending the meeting, Chou said.
The Philippines announced earlier this week that the meeting will be moved to Manila from Legazpi, in Albay Province, due to the approach of Super Typhoon Hagupit, he said at a regular news briefing.
The theme of the APEC summit for 2015 chosen by the Philippines is building inclusive economies, building a better world.
