TAIPEI–Some 82 percent of mothers in Taiwan were connected to their children’s Facebook accounts in 2014, up from 79 percent a year earlier, according to Facebook data.
The word ��mother�� was mentioned 410,000 times on Mother’s Day last year, according to a press release by Taipei-based Elite Public Relations Consultants Co. on behavior on Facebook Taiwan Wednesday.
Costume and accessories was the number one choice for presents on Mother’s Day, which received 30 times the number two choice. The second to fourth choices were massage, hot springs, and beauty treatment or cosmetology.
Flowers were not among the top choices among Taiwanese children.
Nearly 70 percent of Taiwanese Facebook users tended to watch video clips on the platform, while mobile device users used Facebook one minute out of every five, according to the press release.
