UPS® (NYSE: UPS) today announced extended pick-up service hours and phone reservation times in Taiwan on January 25 and January 26, to meet expected high levels of demand for international deliveries before the Chinese New Year holidays. The cut-off time for package drop-offs at service centers will also be extended. On January 27 (Chinese New Year’s Eve), UPS is extending drop-off package time at the Taoyuan Trans-Pacific Hub to 4:00 pm – the latest cut-off time offered by any logistics operator in Taiwan.

The service time adjustments provide businesses with additional time to process shipments before the Chinese New Year holiday week.

The extended pick-up cut-off times on January 25 and 26 are as follows: • Taipei City – 8:00 pm, extended to 9:00 pm in selected areas • Taoyuan City, Hsinchu City, Kaohsiung City – 7:00 pm • Taichung City – 6:00 pm, extended to 8:00 pm in selected areas • Tainan City – 5:00 pm, extended to 6:00 pm in selected areas

The extended schedule for customers to drop off packages at service centers is as follows: • Taipei Office, Jhong-he Center, Neihu Center, Taichung Center – 10:00 pm on January 26 • UPS Taoyuan Trans-Pacific Hub – 4:00 pm on January 27 • Taoyuan Centre – 9:00 pm on January 26 • Hsinchu Centre – 8:00 pm on January 26 • Tainan Centre – 9:00 pm on January 26 • Kaohsiung Centre – 8:30 pm on January 26

Due to the Chinese New Year holidays, pick-up and delivery services will be suspended from January 27 and will resume on February 2.

To facilitate the shipping process, customers are encouraged to use UPS’s online system for customs declaration at This allows customers to instantly view, search, print, and download customs declaration documents via the internet. Customers can also customize the email settings of the documents individually or as an entire set, helping to save time and improve efficiency during the Chinese New Year period.
