This Hualien skywalk is not nearly as scary as it is pretty

TAIPEI, Taiwan — A new skywalk has officially opened in Hualien County, offering a commanding view of the East Coast’s famous turquoise waters.

Only 20 meters of the 150-meter walkway has a glass bottom, but the whole thing offers stunning views.

The see-through section is 50 meters high and while it might give you the willies just a little, what really makes it a winning attraction is the beauty of the views itself.

The attraction isn’t perfect. It was built over a historical Japanese-era trail that probably might have been nice to preserve, but that’s Taiwan tourism for you.

If you’re interested in visiting, look for it on the south side of Xinfeng Tunnel (新豐隧道) on Highway 11. Entry costs NT$40.
