Taipei, September, 2017 – Shangri-La’s Far Eastern Plaza Hotel, Taipei presents a brand-new lunch concept featuring semi-buffet delights at Marco Polo Italian Restaurant.

Chef de Cuisine Davide Mastrangeli specially chooses local fresh fruits and vegetables to create a lively and healthy salad appetizer bar using his creativity.  Dishes that cannot be missed include “Dill Cured Salmon” for which the chef has especially selected salmon from Norway for its tenderness and taste, and garnishes it with makrut lime and cream cheese.

 

Prime U.S. beef is used in “Vitello Tannato” for its flavorful taste and is served with chef’s special tuna sauce.  For those who prefer to have a light meal or vegetables, Chef Davide has some healthy choices, such as “Roasted Beetroot Salad with Feta Cheese”, “Marinated Pasta Salad with Garden Vegetables” and “Tomato and Mozzarella Caprese Salad with Arugula Leaves”. Besides that, guests can also enjoy the semi-buffet with unlimited freshly baked bread and a classic Italian cheese plate.

 

To satisfy the needs of different guests, the chef team has carefully designed seven main courses ranging from the classic pasta and risotto to surf to turf, including U.S. Prime Beef Tenderloin with Creamy Mashed Potato, Half-Grilled Boston Lobster with Mixed Green Salad, Pan-Roasted Wild Sea Bass and many more.  The lunch is priced from NT$780 to NT$1,800.

 

A decent meal must end with a pleasant dessert; the hotel’s talented culinary team has prepared a variety of enticing dessert choices for guests to indulge in, such as Ginger Panna Cotta, Chocolate Mousse, Crème Brûlée and the classic Tiramisu, to brighten up the lunch experience.
