Taipei, April 22 (CNA) The weather across Taiwan on Sunday will be sunny and bright, with highs expected to surge above 30 degrees Celsius in some regions of the country, according to the Central Weather Bureau (CWB).
In the afternoon, there will be interim thundershowers in the north and mountainous areas in central and southern Taiwan, CWB forecaster Lin Po-tung (林柏東) said. In eastern Taiwan, there will be occasional rain or thundershowers for the whole day, he added.
Daytime highs could rise to 30-33 degrees in the western half and northeastern part of Taiwan, and 27-29 degrees in eastern and southeastern part of the country.
The good weather will continue into early Tuesday morning, when a front and northeastern winds will approach, which could bring rain to all of the country on Wednesday, with lows falling to around 20 degrees, Lin said.
Temperatures are likely to rebound and stabilize from Friday, when the northeastern winds begin to weaken, according to Lin.
