Singapore, June 12 ─ The historic Trump-Kim summit kicked off at 9 A.M. in Singapore. After their 12-second-long handshake as an opening, they immediately had a one-one-one meeting without press for 40 minutes. After the meeting, Trump said their talking was “very good, very very good” to express his satisfaction toward the first meeting with Kim.
The very first meeting between the U.S. President Donald Trump and North Korea leader Kim Jong-Un kicked off in this morning at Capella hotel, Singapore. The two leaders met at 9 A.M. and shook hands to begin the meeting today. After the 40-minute one-on-one meeting, some of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un’s top advisers have joined him at the table with President Trump and the US leadership. According to The Straits Times, Kim said he is willing to cooperate with Trump government. “Although it’s challengingly, I have willingness to do.”
Trump and Kim are going to have lunch together at 11:30, continuing to have discussions on the table. Trump has announced that there will be a press conference at 4 P.M. and the content of his one-on-one meeting with Kim is going to be made public.
After the press meeting, Trump would leave the Capella Hotel to return to the US by riding the Air Force 1 Aircraft around 7 P.M., and Kim will return to Pyeongyang in advance at 2 P.M.
