Google Maps motorcycle mode introduced in Taiwan

Google has now introduced a 'motorcycle mode' in their Google Maps for Android users in Taiwan, , located along with the other modes of transportation offered by the web mapping service.

Taipei-Many people in Taiwan ride motorcycles for their dailylife, especially in more crowded areas where cars don’t fit well. Seeing the business opportunities, Google has now introduced a ‘motorcycle mode’ in their Google Maps for Android users in Taiwan, , located along with the other modes of transportation offered by the web mapping service. For the iOS phone users, they still have to wait for sometime.

Google Maps motorcycle mode feature provide more proper travel times based on machine learning models that reflect riding speeds. Moreover,  there are road segments where motorcycles aren’t allowed, all these specific differences will introduce in motorcycle mode. Riders now don’t need to worry that they may ride to the wrong roads which is not permitted for motor scooters.

The motorcycle mode feature, which was first launched in India at the end of last year, then popping up in Indonesia and Malaysia, greatly welcomed among motorcyclists.
