TAIPEI (The China Post) – Popular Taiwanese singer and songwriter Cheer Chen held her three concerts “Cheer20” over the weekend at Taipei Arena to mark the 20th anniversary of her musical career.
She especially thanked her boyfriend Tiger Chung, with whom she has been with for over 17 years. “I would like to thank him for always devoting his amazing talent at helping me becoming a better observer with a broader perspective,” she said.
Chung also played Cheer’s new song “Loser” on his guitar for the occasion, while the two demonstrated flawless cooperation during the performance, captivating the fans with their peculiar charms.
Cheer’s mother, who has spared no effort supporting her daughter as a singer, also joined the concert.
During the performance of “Lonely Without You,” Cheer said: “Knowing you guys for 20 years, We’ve never sung a song together. Tonight, let’s turn Taipei Arena into a KTV!”
After that she walked to her mother’s seat, letting her sing the last lyrics of “Lonely Without You,” before they had a long, affectionate hug.
Cheer has certain “rules” for her concert. When singing “1234567,” she asked her fans to turn on the flashlight of their cellphones and take a picture at the same time, turning the concert into a shining galaxy of stars.
Concluding the event with her warm attitude, Cheer said that she will keep on composing for her fans in the future.
