China Airlines cancels 22 flights amid pilot strike

TAIPEI (CNA) — China Airlines (CAL), one of Taiwan’s largest airlines, canceled 22 flights on Feb. 10, as some of its pilots continued a strike that began two days earlier, according to the latest flight information on CAL’s official website.

The 22 canceled flights included one round-trip and one single-trip from Taipei to Sydney, Australia and two round-trips destined for Hong Kong, according to CAL data.

Canceled flights also included three in-bounds from New York to Taipei, from Vancouver to Taipei and from Indonesia’s Surabaya to Singapore, the data showed.

In addition to the cancellations, delays will be caused on the CI935/936 round-trip flight between Kaohsiung and Hong Kong, according to the carrier.
