TAIPEI (CNA) – A magnitude 3.0 earthquake hit eastern Taiwan at 1:15 p.m. Wednesday, according to the Central Weather Bureau (CWB).
There were no reports of damage or injuries.
The quake was centered about 30.3 kilometers south of Yilan County Hall and struck at a depth of 7.3 km, the bureau’s Seismology Center said.
The earthquake’s intensity, which gauges the actual effect of a temblor, was highest in Yilan, where it measured 4 on Taiwan’s 7-tier intensity scale.
