TAIPEI (CNA) – Affected by a front and northeasterly wind, the weather across Taiwan will be cold and wet in the coming week, with lows expected to dip to 12 degrees Celsius, the Central Weather Bureau (CWB) forecast on Sunday.
Rain will be the most noticeable on Sunday, with moisture likely to reduce on Monday before a wave of continental cold front arrives on Wednesday, bringing more moisture, the CWB said.
It forecast that the weather nationwide will be cold and humid until next Saturday.
This Sunday, daytime highs in northern Taiwan will range between 22-24 degrees, while those in other parts of the country will hover around 27-29 degrees, with lows to range between 16-20 degrees across the country, it said.
Meanwhile, as of 11:00 a.m., a red color had flashed at 14 air quality monitoring stations across Taiwan, meaning that air quality in those areas, mainly in central and northern Taiwan, is categorized as unhealthy for the public, according to the Air Quality Index published
