Taiwan racer joins Asia GT

TAIPEI (The China Post) — Taiwanese racer Jeffrey Lee, who won several championships in the global GT race, will represent the Craft-Bamboo Racing team in 2019 to compete in the GT World Challenge Asia.

The team will join hands with Mercedes-AMG for the entire season. Lee will drive the #88 Mercedes-AMG GT3 race car for the first time this year to compete with expert drivers from around the world.

With the extensive experience and the logistics support of the Mercedes-AMG, Craft-Bamboo Racing #88 is bound to become the spotlight of global fans for the race on April 6-7, at the opening of the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia.

The 2019 Blancpain GT World Challenge Asia will be officially launched at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia. After the race in Malaysia, the following races will be held in Thailand, Japan, and South Korea.

The last stop, slated in September, will be held in a place that Lee is familiar with – the Shanghai Circuit. The Blancpain GT World Challenge Asia is ranked as the top three Blancpain GT World Challenges together with the America and Europe Challenges.

Jeffrey Lee had already got along with the Mercedes-AMG GT3 during the two-round Chinese Supercar Championship, showing the perfect confidence with progressive rankings.

Based in Hong-Kong, the Official Performance Team of Mercedes-AMG, Craft-Bamboo Racing, possesses high hopes for this year’s Champion pairing with Belgian driver Alessio Picariello and Jeffrey Lee.

The two drivers who have worked together for many years not only possess great teamwork but also quickly adapted to the Mercedes-AMG GT3.

The powerful engineering team of the Mercedes-AMG is undoubtedly a strong contingent as the reinforcement for the racers to win the champion of the 2019 Blancpain GT World Challenge Asia.
