TAIPEI (The China Post) – Foxconn Chairman Terry Gou (郭台銘) departed for the White House on April 30 to discuss his investment project in Wisconsin in person with President Donald Trump.
Gou posted his picture in front of the White House to Facebook in the early hours on May 2, saying “Spoiler alert” and the hashtag #MakeTaiwanGreatAgain, suggesting that he was about to meet with the U.S. president.
In order to be the leader of Taiwan, Gou added that one must have a global perspective and cannot only focus on internal affairs. He also wore a hat with both the national flags of Taiwan and the U.S., hinting at the possible cooperation between him and one of the world’s most powerful countries.
The billionaire has promised to invest US$10 billion dollars in Wisconsin, which is estimated to create up to 13,000 jobs.
