TAIPEI (The China Post) — The Central Weather Bureau (CWB) has issued land warnings and predicted the possibility of mild typhoon Dana hitting Taitung and Pingtung on July 18.

The typhoon’s arrival is expected to trigger a land alert so the Greater Taipei area will announce whether work and classes will be canceled at 10 p.m. today.

According to the New Taipei City government, northern Taiwan is for the time being excluded from the warning area.

The Greater Taipei area will, therefore, follow updates on the typhoon movement and announce at 10 p.m. at the latest whether authorities will cancel work and classes tomorrow.
