After a long 2-year wait, singer Elvis Tian’s new album UNHERO has finally been released. During a record signing event today (Aug 18), fans who hadn’t seen Elvis in a while were able to catch a glimpse of his brand new hairstyle, saying that it gives him a “young gentleman” look.
“It seems that I have their approval, but some comments online show that other fans aren’t used to my new hair,” Elvis admitted, saying “It doesn’t matter, I’m sure my music will win them back.”
Fans remarked that Elvis Tian uses his change in hairstyles as a way to mark a new stage in his career since he’s already changed over the years from blond to purplish-blue, then from steel grey to black. With his military service starting next year, Elvis’ trademark long hair will have to get a crew cut, to which he said, “Everyone’s dying to see me shave my hair, and fans even want me to broadcast it live. My colleagues at the managing company also want a chance at cutting the first snip of hair! They all care about it more than me!”
The music video of his new title I’m Tearing Up, Are You Crying? (我累了，你淚了嗎) was shown at the event, starring up-and-coming actors, J.C. Lin (林哲熹) and Devin Pan (潘綱大) who invited him to a bowl of his favorite meal: spicy noodles.
In the music video, the actors play best friends whose relationship is tested as they fall for the same girl. When asked how would he cope if faced with the same dilemma in real life, Elvis replied, “I’d keep my friend’s feelings at heart and play a fair game! Ha, ha!”
