Fans queued up for four days prior to the start of tickets sale for the Mandopop king’s concert in Malaysia, just to ensure they would get a chance to see their idol, Oriental Daily reported.
The all-new Jay Chou Concert World Tour will unfold at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium on Feb. 29, 2019.
Tickets went on sale on Saturday morning at a mall in Kuala Lumpur. A female fan started the ball rolling when she went to the mall last Tuesday afternoon and became the first in line.
By 3 p.m., other fans also started lining up and some of them even brought some sleeping bags and stools.
Tickets for the concerts in Jinan, China went on sale on July 26; the pre-sale tickets were sold out within 19 seconds. Even though ticket sales have suspended due to shortage, more than 700,000 people tried to book tickets.
Jay Chou’s Carnival World Tour will kick off in October in Shanghai, China, followed by Singapore and Malaysia concerts in early 2020. The Taipei concerts have not yet been announced.
