Historic Sites Day to kick off in Beipu old districts over weekend

TAIPEI (The China Post) — Located in south-eastern Hsinchu County, Beipu old street features Taiwan’s highest density of historical sites.
As the annual “Historic Monuments and Sites Day” looms, Beipu old streets will feature a series of workshops, themed “unravel the secrets of historical sites,” and free visits to four historic sites over the weekend.

The four historic moments include a historical heritage site, Jin Guang Fu Hall, a heritage building, Zhongshu Hall, and tea houses in the Beipu Historical Preservation District and Chiang A-Hsin mansion.
In addition, there will be four themed workshops, including “Beipu traditional architecture,” “Adaptive re-use architecture,” “ History of the Jin Guang Fu land reclamation,” and “Ornamental art in the Chiang’s family temple.”
