TAIPEI (The China Post) – The Environmental Protection Administration (EPA) will host the 2019 Taiwan Circular Economy Summit (臺灣循環經濟高峰會) on Oct. 15, featuring a string of distinguished speakers from the United Nations, European Union, Asia and Taiwan.

The international conference aims to spark a debate on the concepts of reducing, reusing and recycling, and bring inspiration to the circular economy policies and industry practices worldwide with the support of the ECCT’s Low Carbon Initiative (LCI, 歐洲在臺商務協會低碳倡議行動).

Major topics of discussion during the summit include circularity in plastics, construction waste, and solar energy facilities, to name just a few. The one-day seminar will unfold at Songshan Cultural and Creative Park Eslite Performance hall (松菸誠品B2展演廳).

Participants will also share their insight on increasing resource efficiency and minimizing environmental impact, universal standards, feasible regulations and various approaches required to build and validate the industry value chain and improve competitiveness. ●
