TAIPEI (The China Post) — A 19-year-old Foodpanda courier accidentally rode her motorcycle onto National Highway No.1 on Wednesday, resulting in a NT$18,000 fine.
The motorist claimed that she was asked to deliver food to Taipei and accidentally followed her GPS through the Linkou junction connecting her to the freeway.
Alarmed drivers alerted police of the rogue motorist and she was quickly apprehended and escorted off the highway.
Authorities later discovered that her license had been previously suspended, meaning she wasn’t allowed on a vehicle of any kind during this period. The fine was increased to NT$18000 in light of her previous condemnation.
Police said that you should quickly get to the shoulder of the freeway and call 1968 or 110 for assistance should this type of accident occur in the future.
