Top locations to watch Taipei New Year’s Eve fireworks unveiled

TAIPEI (The China Post) — Taipei 101 is one of the prime spots for New Year Eve’s celebrations. Other top locations to watch the fireworks include Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Taipei Xinyi Place, Breeze Center, Xiangshan and National Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall.
Due to the North East wind, however, the Central Weather Bureau exects some rain north and east of Taiwan.
As for the most anticipated event of the year, the New Year’s Eve superstar concert will be hosted by Mickey Huang and Lulu Huang Lu, and feature Mayday, Super Junior D&E, LION and Rainie Yang, to name just a few.

The New Year’s Eve fireworks themed “Surprise101” will feature 16,000 rounds of fireworks and last nearly 300 seconds. Also, an opening anime will feature Taiwan endangered animals such as a Leopard cat and a black bear, according to the organizers.
