The director-general of the World Health Organization (WHO), Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, recently alleged that Taiwan had been discriminating against him because of his race. His three-minute rant, however, has led many countries to defend Taiwan, stating that Taiwan’s criticisms were directed towards his actions rather than the color of his skin.
Having previously lived in Taiwan for 9 years, YouTuber Stan took to the Internet to share his thoughts too.
In his video, Stan said that many countries had believed in the WHO and Ghebreyesus’ claims that China had contained the virus, only to find out that was not the case too late.
Now, confirmed cases are surging, and many countries have had to place cities on lockdowns to stop the virus from spreading.
Stan also argued that Ghebreyesus, who has a Ph.D. in public health policies, is not a medical doctor, and wonders how a politician came to become the head of the WHO.
