TAIPEI (CNA) — Dubai-based carrier Emirates said Wednesday it will operate a flight from Dubai to Taipei on April 18 to help transfer Taiwanese nationals wishing to return home.
Passengers will be able to book directly on the airline’s website or via their travel agent, Emirates said, adding that only Taiwanese citizens and those who meet entry requirements will be allowed to board the flight, scheduled for 7:50 a.m. Dubai time.
Travelers should arrive at Dubai International Airport Terminal 3 for check-in three hours before departure and there will be no online check ins or seat selections available, the carrier said.
The airline said overhead cabin baggage will not be accepted on these flights, while carry-on items allowed in the cabin will be limited to laptops, handbags, briefcases or baby items.
The Boeing 777-300ER flight is among flights the airline will operate to cities such as Tunis, Jakarta, Manila, Algiers, Chicago and Kabul for similar purposes.
All Emirates aircraft will go through enhanced cleaning and disinfection processes in Dubai after each journey, according to the airline.
