TAIPEI (The China Post) — The Farmers Association of Dayuan District (大園農會) will join hands with Ever Rich Duty Free Shop (昇恆昌) to host a sale of luxury goods in a two-day event slated on April 27-28.
The surprising partnership comes as airlines and airport shops are now having difficulty maintaining business and selling goods amid the coronavirus outbreak.
Local media quoted Ever Rich Duty Free Shop for organizing the sale as the number of travelers at local airports has continued to decrease.
The company has hosted several sales so far, but this is the first time that it is working with a farmers’ association which is usually known for selling rice, vegetables and fruits.
The sale will be held at the Qingpu Office of the Farmers Association of Dayuan District (大園農會青埔辦事處) as it is close to the airport and customers of the surrounding areas are known for their love of quality goods.
The sale will house Taiwan specialty foods, chocolate and small leather goods. You will be able to buy other luxury goods like diamonds, jewelry and wine at the airport or use Ever Rich’s delivery service to save the trip.
