TAIPEI (CNA) — Eleven people won the top prize of NT$10 million (US$334,156) in the March-April 2020 uniform invoice lottery, the Ministry of Finance (MOF) announced Tuesday.
Among the 11 winners, 10 spent less than NT$100 to win the top prize, including one who spent only NT$15 on a bottle of tea at a convenience store in New Taipei.
One consumer who also won the top prize paid only NT$23 in cash after disbursing a cash voucher for NT$200 for NT$232-worth of accessories at a Pxmart store in Changhua, while another bought a chocolate bar for NT$35 at a convenience store in Taipei’s Wenshan District.
Another 16 lucky people also became instant millionaires in the March-April uniform invoice lottery, winning the grand prize of NT$2 million each.
One winner of the NT$2 million grand prize received the winning receipt issued by a live stream seller after spending NT$3,927 for a number of home appliances, including a camera for her children and a headset.
Among the 16 grand prize winners, one spent only NT$25 on instant noodles in a convenience store in Taichung, while another paid NT$30 for parking in Zhongli in Taoyuan.
The winning number for the NT$10 million special prize in the March-April uniform invoice lottery is 91911374, while the winning number for the NT$2 million grand prize is 08501338.
The prizes can be claimed from June 6 to Sept. 7, 2020, the ministry said when it released the list of winners.
