TAIPEI (The China Post) — The Bread (布列德麵包), a popular bakery chain store in northern Taiwan, will close all its store by June 30 due to the impact of the coronavirus pandemic and the operational adjustments, according to a statement released on Monday.

The Bread, which was established in 2007, was sold by Wei Chuan Foods Corporation (味全) to Ting Hsin International Group (頂新國際集團) for NT$180 million (US$6 million) in 2013.

According to the company’s official website, The Bread boasts nine branch stores in the greater Taipei area.

The company might consider other channels to sell its variety of popular bread and pastries including toast, European bread, birthday cakes and other snacks in the future, but it didn’t provide any details as of press time.

Meanwhile, the company reminds those holding a membership card to redeem their rewards by the same date.
