Poll unveils ‘Top Ten Leaders’ in Taiwan

TAIPEI (The China Post) — New Taipei Mayor Hou You-yi (侯友宜), Vice President Lai Ching-te (賴清德) and Health Minister Chen Shih-chung (陳時中) have nabbed the top 3 spots of the “Top Ten Leaders Ranking,” according to a recent public opinion poll.

Held between June 24 and June 26, the survey shows Hou in the lead, with Lai and Chen close behind. The Kaohsiung mayoral by-election candidate Chen Chi-mai (陳其邁) comes in at fourth with former New Taipei City mayor Eric Chu (朱立倫) following close behind at fifth place. 

Taoyuan mayor Cheng Wen-tsan (鄭文燦) nabbed sixth place, while KMT legislator Chiang Wan-an (蔣萬安), Taipei City Mayor Ko Wen-je (柯文哲), Minister of Transportation Lin Chia-lung (林佳龍) and New Frontier Foundation Chairman Enoch Wu (吳怡農) ranked 7th to 10th places, respectively.

The opinion poll conducted by local Chinese-language media consisted of adults 20 years old or above. The response accuracy rate was estimated to be about 95 percent, with 1,757 replies.
