Miss flying? Taoyuan Airport launches one-day ‘traveling’ experience

Registration is available on the event website starting June 15

TAIPEI (The China Post) – Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (TPE, 桃園國際機場) has planned 1-day tours open to the public, allowing those who miss the opportunity to travel abroad to visit the airport and participate in fun activities.

According to the event website launched on Tuesday, the day-long tours will take place every Thursday and Saturday from July 30 to August 29 this year, from 9 am to 6:30pm. A maximum of 200 guests per day are allowed to visit one of the two airport terminals.

Participants will be able to visit the various themed boarding gate areas and exclusive areas usually restricted to the general public, in addition to enjoying shopping and complimentary food.

At the end of the tour, participants will also have the opportunity to watch the sunset at the airport observation deck.

Furthermore, discounts are available for visitors from other parts of the country, such as Southern Taiwan, who choose to stay at the Novotel Taipei Taoyuan International Airport (台北諾富特華航桃園機場飯店).

Registration begins Wednesday (June 15) at noon, and tickets cost NT$1000 for those over 12, while those aged between 7 and 12 only have to pay NT$800 for the event.
