影/香港「糖人」薪傳百年民間技藝 忍受高溫就為傳遞喜悅 | Hong Kong Sugar Santa passes happiness despite burns

【看CP學英文】來自香港的杜師傅專精於流傳百年的傳統民間手工技藝「糖人」,他在香港開了一間名為「糖人」的店舖。經過店舖旁,總是會看到杜師傅親切與小孩互動的身影,小孩們開心地吹著糖,他一邊捏著高達攝氏80度熬化的蔗糖。

Coined as the “Sugarman,” Louis To from Hong Kong preserves the centuries-old craft of candy art with his vivacious stall. He can always be found interacting with children, who blow at the candy while he kneads sugar dough that reaches 80 degrees Celcius

杜師傅認為捏糖人是「讓彼此快樂」,比起獲利,他更享受看到人們吹糖時喜悅的表情。

Louis finds his job to be “an exchange of happiness.” Rather than profiting from the painstakingly crafted sugar arts, he’d much rather witness people enjoy it.
