Turkish artist inspires diversity with mosaic-patterned lamps

TAIPEI (The China Post) — Musa Genc has brought Turkish lamp craftsmanship to Hong Kong and set up workshops to help local people understand the Turkish culture.

The lamps can be easily made by compiling color glasses into mosaic patterns. In Turkey, mosaic lamps are common in households and mosques, representing diversity.

Each triangular-shaped glass symbolizes the past, present and future. Together, the lamp is infused with wishes that stand for infinity.

Genc hopes that when people bring home their works & statement pieces, they are reminded of the joy in sharing the diversity of different cultures.
