Get your camera ready! From Aug. 7 to 12, you will be able to witness “Taipeihenge,” on Emei Street, Zhongxiao East and West Road and many other road sections.
Taipeihenge is an event during which the setting sun or the rising sun is aligned with the streets.
According to the Central Weather Bureau (CWB), the weather is relatively stable on Friday, and the chances of afternoon thunderstorms in the northern part of the country will increase due to low-pressure disturbance.
From Aug. 7-9, between 6 and 6:27 p.m., you can see the beautiful sunset at Emei Street (west of Xining South Road).
From Aig. 10 to 12, also between 5:59 p.m. and 6:24 p.m., you can enjoy the beautiful scenery at Zhongxiao East and West Road West (west of Xinsheng Elevated Road) and other roads.
The sun will set at the center of the street at the median time of the daily forecast interval, according to the CWB. The time at which the setting sun reaches the visual center of the street varies slightly depending on where the observer is located on the street.
If you plan to enjoy the mesmerizing sunsets this weekend, be sure to wear dark sunglasses for longer periods of time to avoid eye strain. Be careful to maintain traffic order while enjoying the scenery, too!
