Guandu’s giant flower fields to open to public on Nov. 1

TAIPEI (The China Post) — The Guandu Plain in Taipei features 4 hectares of beautiful blooming flower fields that opened to the public on Nov. 1. 

The 4.38-hectare field located in Beitou boasts a large number of blooming cosmos, yellow cosmos, Zinnia and sunflowers. 

With the backdrop of Mount Guanyin, Mount Datun and the blue sky, you will be able to take some #Instaworthy pictures at these beautiful fields.

If you check into Facebook, you might be able to receive some giveaways. What’s more? The organizer will hold an Instagram photo contest, and hands-on activities during the flower blooming season. 

Please keep in mind that you cannot step into the flower fields which are muddy and the road is narrow.

Also, the Taipei city government encourages visitors to take public transportations to get there. The shuttle bus will depart from Qilian MRT Station and from the Guandu MRT Station on weekends.
